Happy to be home from a few days in Cancun.  It was nice to escape the cold and snow here, however, I'm always glad to make it safely back home to my "babies".  Unfortunately, our trip home took us FOREVER!  I'm not sure but I think that maybe Conteniential in spanish must mean "complete choas".  At least that must be their mission statement and all the employees south of the border seem to follow that mission statement perfectly!  We got on the plane to prepare for our 9am flight home and sat and sat and sat..... until they finally let us off the plane...then to make a long story short they finally cancelled the flight...although they never actually said "cancelled".  Then instead of forming a line and one by one making other arrangements for us all they proceeded to send us on a wild goose chase ALL over the Cancun airport....from gate to gate to gate to gate.  Which resulted in many of us missing flights outta of that God forsaken airport that we could have actually gotten on and gotten home!  O'well....4-5hrs of running around the airport and standing in line I FINALLY got to speak to a human who FINALLY got us ACTUAL real live boarding passes to get us outta of that place.  At this point I didn't care where the flight was going as long as it was going to the US.  Needless to say we finally made it home at 1am this morning (not 3 in the afternoon like we had originally hoped) but home none the less and home safely which is really all that matters in the scheme of it all!!!!   Again...happy to be home and home safe!  I'm also glad that things didn't work out for us to go deep sea fishing.  My husband tried and tried to get that whole thing worked out and it just didn't happen (which didn't bother me because I've been enough to last me a lifetime...but hey...would have went again).  Anyway...about 30min after we booked another excursion they called and said they had 4 guys that needed 2 more people to go fishing.  Well...we of course had already booked and paid for this other deal so he told them no.  All I can say is THANK YOU GOD!!!!  After talking to the guys later we found out that they got all the way out in the ocean to fish and the boat stalled.  They were stuck out in the middle of the ocean just floating around in massive waves (it was really windy) for like 8 hours (with no radio contact) before they were finally rescued!!!  UGH!!!  I would have been sooooooo miserable!
Anyway....back to the cold and snow!  But that's okay cause that's where my babies are!!!  :)!
