Flashback Friday

I was reading someone else's blog that did a "flashback friday" and just thought that it was a good idea... it's kind of nice to go back and dig up old photos and remember the past!!! So I thought that I might try to start doing a "flashback friday" spot every week.... we will see how I do!!! Anyway, for lack of anything better to start with I thought I would choose my wedding day. It was a completely wonderful day that I remember absolutely nothing about!!!! Sad but true. The weeks leading up to my wedding were some of the busiest days of my entire "working" life. Seriously, I think I must of worked at least 15 hours a day.... everyday. There was some crazy stuff going on at work and I was in a situation where two people had quit and that just left me to do the job that all 3 of us had previously done!!! It was actually quite the challenge and I for some strange reason can't really say that I entirely hated it.... I was learning alot... it's just too bad that it had to come at a time when I was about to get married.

Anyway, the wedding itself was quite formal... and honestly, longer than I had anticipated. The Pastor seemed to talk and talk and then just when you thought he was done.... he had even more to say. But, o'well... Anyway, I had just what I wanted at the ceremony.... I had this amazing trumpet player... and a wonderful string quartet.... and those were seriously the two "details" of the ceremony that I really wanted... everything else was gravy!!! The reception...well that was a different story... it was quite informal... and basically just one big party!!!! Which.... again...was what I wanted. I really wanted to just have a good time at my own reception... and let me tell you.... I had a good time!!!! In fact... alot of people had a good time!!! We even continued to have a good time at the bar down the street... which I believe didn't close on time that night!! O' the things you can get away with in a small town!

Well... the one thing that I didn't have at our wedding was a great photographer.... and those who know me well... know that I love a great photo.... It's the biggest regret of the day. So needless to say... I don't have a bunch of photos... and very very few of my husband and I together... imagine that!!! But here are a few.... and o' how I wish I were as "fat" as I was back then. We have been married now for 7 1/2years and I regretfully have gained a whooping 20 pounds since this day!!! And I've tried and tried to lose it.... apparently not tried hard enough... but I've just decided that it will never come off and have learned to live with it!!! But boy... when I look back at these photos I sooo wish I could be that thin again... and imagine... I thought I was fat!!!

O'... and I almost forgot.... the song playing on my playlist (One Friend) is the song from our wedding... I just love the song... and imagine... Brent picked it out all by himself.

This one just cracks me up.... with our friend Jennifer (who I believe was the next one to get married) waving her long skinny arms in the air... just makes me laugh everytime I see it!
Me being goofy on my wedding day
The Cake Event..... half of which fell down the front of my dress!!!

I remember that day! It was a beautiful day for a beautiful couple. I was in a good mood because I had a rare night away without kids!

Great pictures, I look like a fool, look at how those other people are looking at me, that just cracks me up. I'm laughing so hard i'm tearing up. I remember that day, not so well, too much beer. I remember the bar after. I think I fell down. And being in some business' kitchen, maybe that was at the bar. I konw that we all had fun. The weird thing about the picture is that I was already engaged to Joe, did I think he was going to change his mind. What great memories.
