Skiing

So Brent wakes up Friday morning and says "I think we should go to Dubuque tonight and take the kids skiing". Really...cause the last thing that sounds fun to me is being in the cold and snow...however...what Brent wants is usually what Brent gets. Soooo...we hop in the car as soon as the kids get home from school and head to Dubuque Iowa....of all places. It was late when we got there and the trip seemed to take twice as long as it should have...but we made it! The next morning we get up bright and early go to IHOP and then off to see how the kids are going to like skiing for the first time. We signed them up for a two hour lesson..... of which I needed myself!!!! And after they finished that they were like pros! They totally loved it and they both did so great! I was really surprised at how well they both did. Raegan, of course, was still a little more cautious than Brock but she still surprised the heck out of me. She would ride the lift by herself and everything. Brock of course only had one thing in mind.....GOING DOWN THE BIG HILL! I said NO and of course Brent said "let's go"...and off they went. When they got back Brock's only words were..."let's do that again dad". They just went over and over again! Brent couldn't hardly keep up with the little booger! Raegan also went down the big hill but only once...she wasn't quite as thrilled with it as Brock! Well...needless to say I think we will be back there again sometime....not sure they will let me out of it....so I guess next time I need to take a lesson myself!
