Abbi and Annie's Birthday party

This weekend I took Raegan over to Jacksonville so that she could attend her friends Abbi and Annie's birthday party. Abbi was born just a few weeks after Raegan so they have known each other their whole (long) lives. I use to live with Abbi and Annie's mom and Brent has been friends with their dad for many many years...he is also from Iowa. So even though we really don't see them that much anymore (now that the Prevett family has a total of 5 kids...life is busy for them) we do at least try to make it to birthday parties. Since Abbi and Annie's birthdays are close they always have a party together which seems to work out well for the girls...their parents... and even the guests! They always have some sort of big party... which I've had to explain to Raegan is not what we do. Maybe every other year a "kid" party. I'm just not up for it EVERY year nor do I think it is necessary. But anyway...this year was a tea party. It was very nice with tea/lemonade, cute little sandwiches shaped like a heart, and pink cupcakes. All the girls seemed to have a great time and they also all brought their American Girl dolls along. Raegan had a great time...even though you couldn't tell it at the time...she's just so darn quiet...but when we left that was all she could talk about!!!!

Birthday girl Abbi and Raegan at the table eating their lunch and having their "tea".

Raegan sipping on her tea...which was really lemonade.

The other birthday girl Annie getting ready to blow out her candle.

This is little Lauren she is the daughter of a friend of Micki's who has also become a friend of mine...Jenny...she is super sweet and so is her adorable little girl...and they look just alike too!

This is Libby's daughter.... she also looks just like her mother and boy is she a cutie!!!!! This picture cracks me up.... I'm not exactly sure what she is doing here but the expression on her face is so funny!!!!

BTW.... my mom FINALLY goes in for her biopsy on Monday. It's about time! I'm hoping all goes well and I have high hopes that it certainly will!!!!!

What sweet pctures! I very much doubt I will ever get to attend a party like this. However, the very first year we were in Ga (Alex was 1) we went to Jingle Bell Tea with Santa. A very southern tradition. It was so cute and yes, there were those cute little sandwiches and REAL tea cups. I loved it....Mark and Alex never really wanted to go again. :(
I'll be think of your mom and sending good thoughts her way. Hope she gets great and boring news. :)
