I haven't been on the computer lately for a couple reasons.... first we were gone for a few days down at the Ozarks with my family. We were there with my mom and dad and my sister and her family. Although... it didn't seem like we saw much of mom and dad!!! They were there... I've got I think one or two pictures of them... but it just went too fast and we didn't really get to spend much time with all of us together. Anyway, also while we were there we got to see our friends Al and Emilie who were down there fishing for the week. They live in northern Iowa so we don't see them all that often. Al and Brent are in business together... and well... they usually talk "shop" the whole time we see them. They think pretty much the same when it comes to work so they are usually bouncing things off of each other!!! And well... right now .... there's ALOT to talk about. In fact... more stress than ANYONE could imagine... but that's a whole other story!

Anyway, the other reason I haven't been on the computer was I wasn't feeling so great for a couple of days. I'm feeling better now.... but just still dizzy.... Lord please don't let me get like I was in Nov. and Dec..... not sure I could live through that again! Raegan helped nurse me back to health... and Tuesday morning when I really didn't feel good she helped Brock get ready for school and picked up his toys. She said that she was being me since I didn't feel so good. Then Brock said he was going to take care of me and while I was lying on the couch he got the thermometer and took my temperature and read me a book. He wanted to take care of me too!!! They were soooo sweet!!!! Makes you think that maybe you just did something right while trying to raise them!

Well... following are a bunch of photos in really no particular order.... just some stuff that's been going on for the past few days!!! Hope all is going good with everyone!

Dirty faced Brock with yet another new frog.

Clinton getting ready to roll.... you don't want to mess with this boy..... he's out to WIN!!!!
Raegan and Clinton rode the go-carts one night after dinner with my sister and her family.... Brock was passed out... see below!
'

Brock couldn't make it... he feel asleep during dinner and missed riding the go carts ... so we had to stop the next day on the way home so Brock could give it a try...

This is before we left for the Ozarks... Raegan did Cheer Camp. She didn't want to do it at first but once she got there she had a great time!
Raegan with Micah and Lauren cheering for the football players as they go out on the field. Micah had two of her brothers playing football this year.

Raegan actually doing the cheers....she said she had a great time and wants to do it next year.

Back at the Ozarks.... Grandma and the kids at Bob Evans!

O'Lordy.... I think my son has a future as a Chippendale's dancer!!!!!

Me and my babies at the boat dock!!!! We took our boat with us.... but it was pretty cold and rainy while we were there.... plus.... our boat really isn't big enough for the Ozarks!!! I prefer a smaller lake myself!

Dad and Brock at the cave!!! Caves use to be the only thing the kid was afraid of.....well...not anymore.... Brent said he was practically giving the tour himself once he got over the initial fear. By the way.... Brent got him to go into the cave by telling him there were frogs in there.... that just shows you how important frogs are to this kid!!!! This is the same kid that REFUSED to go into the penguin house at the St. Louis zoo because it looked like a cave...... he screamed and cried and ran away from us!!! (By the way.... Raegan, Grandma and I were shopping while Dad, Brock and Brent went to the cave..... you still won't get Raegan in one of those silly caves.... NO WAY.... not her idea of fun at all!!!!!).

Cuddling!!! They all love each other....even though they do fight!!

The Coopers feeding the fish.

Emilie showing Brock where to keep his worms.... behind your ear is the best place!

Al teaching Brock the fine art of fishing!

Em let Brock borrow her Cubs hat!!!

Mom and Rae floating down the lazy river! The Coopers and us went to a water park while we were there.... it was nothing fancy but we had a good time. They even convinced me to go down the big water slide. I was not really interested but went ahead and did it anyway.... funny though... after that I went over and over again!!! Terri and I had a good time on that silly slide!!!!

Coopers at dinner!

Family photo!

Rae and Brock at the track! Brock looks pretty serious about the whole thing!

This is my new house on the lake......HA!!! Even if I could afford it.... can you even imagine Brock living here.... he'd never make it.... he would be in the lake for sure!!!

The boys surfing on the beaver!!!

Also, one more thing to add since today is Sept. 11th. While we were in the Ozarks we were eating at a restaurant with a whole wall full of pictures, articles, etc. about Sept. 11th. Raegan just kept asking me question after question about them. I found it so difficult to explain the whole thing to her. In fact, I found myself crying trying to find the right words to tell her about this day in history. She actually asked a lot of interesting questions. But I'm not sure she has it in her to actually grasp what happened that day. I remember I was pregnant with Raegan on Sept. 11th.... about 5 1/2 months pregnant. In fact, we were suppose to be on a cruise to Alaska but we turned the trip down because I was so terribly sick. Boy.... am I thankful about that now!!! Not only did they have the whole Sept. 11th thing to deal with but they were also in a terrible storm ..... so much so that all the water came out of the pool on the ship!!!! Not my idea of fun!!! Especially not pregnant!!! Anyway.... instead I was at work. I was there early that day... or should I say as usual. I was really getting alot done... I remember working very hard that morning and so when people starting coming in talking about something about a plane crash I didn't even bother to get up to see what was going on.... at least not until I heard someone say it was a big plane and it hit the World Trade Center. Then... I was up and talking.... and that was really all the work I would get done for the whole day.... or should I say week! There was a girl working there at the time who was from New York.... her husband in fact was a former New York City firefighter... and he was at home watching it all on TV.... giving us pretty much a play by play. I remember feeling sick... and I remember saying this is it... we will be in a war soon. And I remember crying every single day for a week..... Remember... I was pregnant. It bothered me beyond belief. To think... that all those people were no different than you or I .... absolutely no different... just getting on a plane to go somewhere.... or just going to work. It is surreal that it ever happened... but unfortunately it really did. I hope that my children never have to see history play out before them like this.... I hate to think though that that is probably being a little naive.

Girl! How are you feeling today? Isn't so sweet when your kids try to take of you?
I loved all the pictures but I have to say the Chippendale dancer was my favorite! :)
Sept. 11 My boys just watched a documentary on that and were totally blown away. We talked a lot about it and they are still discusing it. They keep telling people about it like no one else would know that it happened.
That was the day Ethan took his first real steps. I was sitting right in front of the TV crying and he pulled up on the coffee table, walked over and put his tiny hand on my shoulder.

Great pictures Mindy. I to had a hard time explaining the whole 9/11 thing to Wyatt. There was a special on PBS that they were watching as I was cleaning and Wyatt came and got me to ask me all about what was going on with all those people and that building. He just kept asking Why did it fall down Mommy? I was crying by the end of our conversation. I think they realized that it was a big deal if it made mommy so upset. I remember being at work that day as well. I was working full-time in Ames at EB, and I could see the TV's accross the hall at Radio Shack, then all the people walking the mall started talking to me about it. I remember thinking the very same thing you did, we are going to war for sure now. Then of course I worried about Joe. Turns out I should worry a lot more now. Hope your family is well. We'll have to get over to visit sometime.
