Minute with Mindy: Weekend

Friday night Brent and I took the kids to play golf for the first time. They had a blast!!!! Unfortunately, mommy forgot to grab the camera... can you even believe it. But, man I wish I had it... they were just soooo cute trying to play golf!!!! And they were seriously really trying very hard to hit the ball and to hit it the right way!!!! After we finished our 9 holes they were ready to do it again and begged to keep playing... even though it was 7:00pm and they had not eaten yet.... I guess we will have to take them out again sometime soon!!! After golfing we stayed and ate... it was a very nice evening. And it's actually kind of fun now that the kids are a little older and can do things like this. The next morning we dropped the kids off at my sisters house early and headed out of town to the lake. We were meeting the Bakers (from Iowa) there because they were coming down with a bunch of their friends. So we crashed their party and even though we didn't know anyone there but Phil and DeLisa ... and Gerald of course... we ended up having a pretty good time. Although today all I've wanted to do is to sleep!!!! We boated ALL day Sat. and I think I'm still amazed at the amount of alcohol that was consumed by all!!!! But that's okay... aside from a few sunburns and a few tired folks... everyone survived unharmed.... except for maybe our boat trailer!!!! It was just slightly injured after Large (aka Gerald) backed it down the ramp when we were loading up and EVERYONE was really unsure if he was going to roll the truck...should have thought to grab the camera... you would have to see it to believe it!!! It's funny now.... now that he's not teetering on the rocks by the side of the boat ramp!!!! Scary stuff!! Anyway, it ended up being a pretty good weekend... had a good time and it was nice to get out without the kids for a change.... not that I don't love um to death!!!
